Why did Hitler want to unite all German speaking people into Germany?
-All the Germans in Poland, France and Czechoslovakia to come back into Germany
What was ANSCHLUSS?
union of German and Austria
Why Did Germany want Lebensraum?
-by expanding he gets more land ,people ,war resources and food
Why was Hitler in a strong position in 1933 to achieve his foreign policy aims?
- world jus emerged from great depression, more worried about internal affairs
- league of nations did not act against Japan, showed league did not act against acts of aggression
- If Hitler challenged treats he would not face great deal of opposition as Britain had remorse for Germany

- France told to disarm to Germany’s level
- France refuses and walks out
- German rearms 300,000 men ,1,000 planes they are not stopped

- improved trading

What happened at the attempted Anschluss?
- Austrian Chancellor Dollfuss banned Nazi party
- Austrian Nazi party fought back and assassinated him
- Failed due to lack of support from Hitler as he was afraid Mussolini would retaliate
- Hitler denied involvement and 100,000 Italian troops were stationed at the border
When was the return of the Saarland?

How did the Saarland get returned to Germany?
- national vote was held by league of Nations
- voted to re-join Germany
