Cranial = Cranial bones and brain Vertebral = spinal cord and nerves

Pleural = potential space between layers of pleura around lungs Pericardial = potential space between layers of pericardium and the heart Mediastinum = extends from sternum to vertebral column, and 1st rib to diaphragm

Abdominal = stomach, spleen, liver, gall bladder, small and most of large intestines Pelvic = bladder, portions of large intestine, internal reproductive organs
