- Meibomian gland dysfunction
- Staph aureus infection of meibomian gland
- Seborrhoeic dematitis

What are the features of blepharitis?
A
- Usually bilateral
- Grittiness and discomfort around eyelids
- Eyes sticky in morning
- Eyelids margins may be red
- swollen eyelids may seen in staph blepharitis

What is the management of blepharitis?
A
*Conservative
>Lid hygiene
*Medical
>Topical chloramphenicol
>Fusidic acid
>Artificial tears for symptom relief
Surgical
>After acute phase, lump/chalazion may be cosmetically unacceptable
>incision and curettage
