A
  • Usually bilateral
  • Grittiness and discomfort around eyelids
  • Eyes sticky in morning
  • Eyelids margins may be red
  • swollen eyelids may seen in staph blepharitis

What is the management of blepharitis?

A

*Conservative
>Lid hygiene

*Medical
>Topical chloramphenicol
>Fusidic acid
>Artificial tears for symptom relief

Surgical
>After acute phase, lump/chalazion may be cosmetically unacceptable
>incision and curettage
