12A certificate - you can see it on your own if you are 12 and over - you can see it if you are under 12 if with adult - some people were not happy with how much violence was present in the film for having that certificate - BBFC have argued that because of it being a movie about superheroes you can expect that level of violence - some may also argue that the film is further fantasy based - the violence is not being glorified - told is disaproved of - trying to protect themself - linking to the livingstone and lunt theory as there is a struggle to balance the protection of harm and people having choice whether to see the film - difficult regulation as they were trying to distribute this film globally as each of the countries contain different descriptors - so they may have to make less violence in some countries
