  • maintained regular cycle of around 25hrs w out EZs. longer than the expected 24hr cycle.
  • suggesting EP 4 sleep wake cycle is free running but needs entrainment 2 keep 2 the 24hr day night cycle

AO3= criticism:

  • psychologists say use of artificial light in isolation exp on sleep wake cycle disrupt measurements of free running circadian rhythm as they act as EXOYGNEOUS ZEITBERG.
  • in a study controlling for artififcla light czeisler who controlled this variable found circadian rhythm was closer to 24hr w little drift
