Fertilization is the process in which a sperm cell fuses with an egg cell to form a new organism.

Photoperiodism is the phenomenon in which a plant requires a definite period of light and darkness before it will flower.

Inflorescence is a flower cluster.
What are petals?
Petals are the most conspicuous part of a flower.

Pollen is a plant reproductive structure, produced by the anther of the stamen, which contains the sperm cells.

The Stigma is the tip of the pistil, which receives pollen grains during pollination.

The Ovary is the swollen base of a pistil which contains ovules.

Sexual Reproduction is a form of reproduction in which genetic material is contributed by two parents through the reunion of sperm and egg.

Sepals are leaflike structures attached to the edge of a flower’s receptacle.
What are fruits?
Fruits are the ripened ovaries of a flower.
What are Hybrids
Hybrids are organisms resulting from a cross between two different species of the same kind of plant or animal.

The Calyx is a collective term for a flower’s sepals.
