Q

What are the steps of mitosis?

A

1) The chromosomes become attached to spindle fibres which run from one pole to another.

2) The individual chromosomes line up at the equator of the cell.

3) The spindle fibres shorten and the 2 chromosomes become chromatids
4) The cell membrane pinches causing the cell to divide into 2.
