Q

what are the main steps of the carbon cycle

A
  1. photosynthesis: plants capture CO2
  2. dead organisms and waste products: decomposes releasing CO2 and CH4
  3. Fossil fuels: buried under sediment for years.
  4. animal respiration: Carbon ingested returns to atmosphere as CO2
  5. Ocean uptake: CO2 dissolves in water
  6. Factory emissions: man made sources -not part of natural cycle.
