Self Efficacy =
Belief or Self-confidence an individual has about their ability to be successful in a specific situation.
E.g. Free kick in football

Vicarious Experience
Verbal/Social Persuasion
Emotional/Physiological Arousal

Successful past experiences which are attributed to internal/controllable attributions
Strongest influence on SC
Vicarious Experience
Observing another person performing well in the same situation.
Athlete will develop their own self-efficacy
Verbal/Social Persuasion
Encouragement, positive extrinsic feedback or reinforcement
Especially effective when given by significant others
Emotional/Physiological Arousal
Understanding the signs of increased arousal and knowing that an increase in arousal will not lead to failure and can be controlled through relaxation methods or mental rehearsal
