APU FIRE
- APU fire switch…Confirm…Pull, rotate, & hold
Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second. - APU switch…OFF
LOSS OF THRUST IN BOTH ENGINES
- ENGINE START switches (both)…FLT
- Engine start levers (both)…CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases: Engine start levers (both)…IDLE detent
ENGINE FIRE OR ENGINE SEVERE DAMAGE OR SEPARATION
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…Disengage
- Thrust Lever (affected engine)…Confirm…Close
ENGINE OVERHEAT
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…Disengage
2. Thrust lever (affected engine)…Confirm…Close
ENGINE LIMIT OR SURGE OR STALL
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine)…Confirm…Retard until engine indications stay within limits or the thrust lever is closed
ENGINE START - ABORTED START
- Engine start lever (affected engine)…CUTOFF
AIRSPEED UNRELIABLE
- Autopilot (if engaged)…Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…Disengage
- Flight director switches (both)…OFF
- Set the following gear up pitch attitude and thrust:
Flaps extended…10° and 80% N1
Flaps up…4° and 75% N1
SMOKE, FIRE, OR FUMES
- Oxygen masks and regulators (as needed)…On, 100%
2. Crew communications (as needed)…Establish
CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING OR RAPID DECOMPRESSION/EMERGENCY DESCENT
- Oxygen masks and regulators…On, 100%
- Crew communications…Establish
- Seatbelt sign…On
FLIGHT DECK DOOR EMER ENTRY ACTIVE LIGHT/AUTOMATIC UNLOCK

1. Flight deck door HARD LOCK switch…Push
Boeing Flight Deck Door
1. FLT DK DOOR lock selector…Rotate to DENY and hold for 1 second
RUNAWAY STABILIZER
- Control Column…Hold Firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged)…Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged)…Disengage
- Control column and thrust levers…Control Airplane pitch attitude and airspeed
- Main electric stabilizer trim…Reduce control column forces
- Choose one:
◊ The runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged:
Do not re-engage the autopilot or autothrottle
END OF PROCEDURE
◊ The runaway continues after the autopilot is disengaged:
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches (both)…CUTOUT
If runaway continues:
Stabilizer trim wheel…Grasp and hold
EVACUATION
- ATC…Advise [F]
- Parking brake…Verify set [F]
- Flaps…40 [F]
- Speed brake lever…DOWN detent [F]
- Pressurization mode selector…MAN [F]
- Outflow VALVE switch…Hold in OPEN until the outflow VALVE indication shows fully open [F]
- Engine start levers (both)…CUTOFF [F]
- Engine and APU fire switches (all)…OVERRIDE and pull [F]
- If an engine or APU warning occurs:
- Illuminated fire switch(es)…Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second [F] - Evacuation….Announce “Release your seatbelts and get out” [C]
ENGINE FAILURE ON FINAL APPROACH
- Disconnect the auto throttle and autopilot
- Increase thrust
- Select flaps 15
- Adjust airspeed to VREF 30/40 plus 20 kts
- Inhibit GROUND PROXIMITY FLAP INHIBIT SWITCH
DRIFTDOWN
- Autothrottle (if engaged)- Disengage
- Thrust (operating engine)- Max Continuous
- Rudder- Trim
- MCP altitude- Set
- LVL CHG- Select
- MCP speed- Set
