A
Resistance to the spread of an infectious disease within a population that is based on pre-existing immunity of a high proportion of individuals as a result of previous infection or vaccination

What are memory cells?
A
They’re produced during a specific immune response
Thay can stay in the blood for many years

What is a vaccination?
A
Injects an inactive pathogen into the body
Activate immune response, producing memory cells for storage
Dead pathogens are given with the same antigens as the normal pathogen
