Describe what health means ?
Health is being in a state of complete physical , mental and social wellbeing . not just the absence of disease
Differences between communicable and non communicable diseases ?
communicable can be transferred from person to person but non-communicable cannot be transferred from person to person
Why does the presence of 1 disease increase the chance of developing another disease .
The diseases may interact , this increases the chance of developing another disease . also some diseases may weaken the immune system for example AIDS .
Describe the lytic pathway of a virus
Virus bonds to the host cell
Virus injects genetic material into the cell
The genetic material of the virus is replicated
Genetic material of virus used to build protein coat
new virus’s are made
virus bursts and virus leaves cell
Describe the Lysogenic pathway
The virus binds to the host cell
Virus releases genetic material into the cell
The virus’s genetic material combines with hosts
cell divides
How are sexually transmitted diseases spread
how can spread be prevented
Spread through sexual contact
People can avoid sexual activity and use a barrier method of contraception
