Avionics Ventilation Panel Flashcards
What happens when either the Blower pb or Extract pb is in the OVRD position? 3
A. The system goes into the closed circuit postion when either is pushed.
B. If the Blower pb is pushed, the blower fan goes off.
C. If the Extract pb is pushed, the Extract Fan continues but the aircraft goes into the closed configuration
What is the reason for switching the Extract fan pb to override on the ground during rain?
What happens to the fans?
The aircraft is set to closed configuration, this keeps the avionics from getting wet.
Both blower and extract fans are still on.
What happens when both Blower pb and Extract pb are set to the OVRD position? Where is air taken after?
The blower fan goes off, the extract fan remains on. The aircraft goes in a closed circuit configuration. Air is taken from the Air Conditioning system
What is the Smoke Configuration?
A. With smoke detected, the blower and extract fans are switched to override
B. The blower fan goes off, the extract fan remains on.
C. The Skin Air Outlet Valve is slightly left open to let out air
Blower pb fault light appears when: 4
- Blower pressure is low
- Duct overheats
- Computer fails
- Smoke is detected
Extract pb fault light appears when: 3
- Extract pressure is low
- Computer fails
- Smoke is detected
What are the cabin fans pb on the Ventilation panel for? 4
- Installed to reduce bleed air requirement for the purpose of saving fuel
- No ECAM indications when they fail
- Control for the fans are on the Ventilation panel
- Establish a recirculation of air from the 3 zone controller to the mixing unit
What happens when the Cabin Fan pb is switched on? When switched off?
On - both cabin fans are on
Off - both cabin fans are off
