1) Hospital: Req’s medical death certification (Teaching, research around 1%)
2) Medico-Legal: Coronial and Forensic (Over 90%)

A
1) Natural: No known cause and no Doctor visit in the last 2 weeks
2) Presumed Iatrogenic: Peri/Post - Op, abortion, therapeutic comp, anaesthetic
3) Presumed Natural: Accidents, war, neglect and murder

What are the 4 steps of the autopsy?
A
1) External Examination: Identify disease, treatment and injury
2) Evisceration: Y shaped incision to examine and remove viscera
3) Internal Examination: Great vessels, and organs
4) Reconstruction
