What is required for the diagnosis of ARDS by Berlin. criteria?
A
1) P/F ratio < 300
2) Acute onset (occurring w/n 7 days of insult)
3) b/l pulmonary infiltrates
4) Respiratory Failure not explained by cardiac failure or fluid overload

What is traditional criteria for ARDS diagnosis?
A
Identifiable cause, acute onset and:
1) P/F ratio < 200
2) Diffuse b/l pulmonary infiltrates
3) PAOP < 18 mmHg or
4) No evidence of left atrial hypertension

ARDS severity (Mild/moderate/severe) based on Berlin definition?
A
1) Mild: P/F = 300 but > 200
2) Moderate: = 200 but > 100
3) Severe: = 100
