What are the different generations of cephalosporin? What is the difference between each generation?

A

HIgher the generation the more the G- cover but less G+ cover

Gen1:

  • Cephalexin (oral)
  • Cephazolin (parenteral)

Gen 2:
-Cefaclor (oral)

-Rest are parenteral and I cbs writing them up
