  1. can become toxic in the body system / cause dependency issues
  2. cause drowsiness
  3. ❌ do NOT take with antacids (will ⇊ absorption)
  4. ⇑⇑ blood glucose levels

In general, all anticonvulsants:

A
  1. urine -change to light rust color (not dangerous to the Px)
  2. will still allow the Px to have seizure
    Wear medical ID
  3. ❌ do NOT give this before electroconvulsive therapy

***IF YOUR PX IS ON AN ANTI-CONVULSTANT INITIATE SEIZURE PRECAUTIONS
