What happens metabolically during angina?
increase in lactate production and ATP breakdown due to anaerobic metabolism
What type of ischaemia is ST depression?
subendocardial ischaemia
What type of ischaemia is ST elevation?
transmural ischaemia
What drugs can be given?
aspirin 75mg, statins, ACE inhibitors, organic nitrates and nitrites, beta blockers, Ca channel blockers
