pharm class: treatment of megaloblastic anemia due to nutritional deficiency
MOA: reduced form of nucleoprotein synthesis
Hydroxocobalamin
pharm class: treatment for vitamin B deficiency to meet increased vitamin B12 due to blood loss
MOA: essential for protein synthesis and cell production and hematopoiesis
Erythropoietin (Epoetin Alfa)
pharm class: treats anemia dealing with kidney failure
MOA: stimulates the bone marrow to make more RBC
acts like natural glycoprotein to stimulate the production of RBC in the bone marrow
CI: uncontrolled hypertension, allergy to human albumin
