Project management includes two features to manage projects. They are the project workbench and project templates. Describe the project workbench
This gives project managers the ability to manage different aspects from a single page. supports Project Management and Application Lifecycle management.
Project management includes two features to manage projects. They are the project workbench and project templates. Describe the Project template
Project templates define the basic structure of a project including tasks, sub-tasks, attachments and other project information
Projects integrate with what other applications
Change management, resource management, and reports
What are a couple of the ways to help visualize large projects
Gantt charts and Work Breakdown Structure lists
What is a portfolio
a collection of projects managed as a group to achieve strategic and operational objectives
What is a Project
any planned, collaborative effort that is designed to achieve an objective
What is a Agile project
Any planned, collaborative effort that is designed to achieve an objective and uses Agile.
What is a Project console
A unified graphical interface to the Project application, including new WBS hierarchical lists and a new Gantt chart.
What is a Phase What are the three types
One stage or one segment of a project. Three types of phases can be added to the timeline in the project workbench: Waterfall, Agile, and Test
What is a waterfall phase
Contains project tasks. A project can have multiple waterfall phases.
What is an agile phase
contains stories and can also include a group assignment. A project can have multiple agile phases
What is a Test phase
Contains test cases and can also be associated to a test plan. A project can have multiple test phases.
What is a Story
a brief statement of a product requirement or a customer business case that is used in the scrum method of agile software development. Typically, stories are expressed in plain language to help the reader understand what the software should accomplish.
What is a test case
A collection of related tests. A test case is saved as part of a test suite and can be added to a test plan.
What are the three Project phases
Set up the Project > Manage the Project > Close the Project
What five things are associated with the “Set Up the Project” phase
- Estimate Values and Prepare Resources
- Created the Project
- Add Tasks
- Create Dependencies
- Assign Resources
What three things are associated with the “Manage the Project” phase
- Start the Project
- Create a Baseline
- Monitor Project Dashboards
What are the two things associated with the “Close the Project” phase
- Analyze Baselines and Actual Values
- Manage Related Incidents, Problems, and Changes
Explain the following concept: Finish-to-start dependency
A dependency that indicates that a task must not be started until its predecessor finishes
Explain the following concept: Start-to-start dependency
A dependency that indicates that a successor task must not be started until the predecessor task has started
Explain the following concept: Start-to finish dependency
A dependency that indicates that a predecessor must not be finished until the successor task starts
Explain the following concept: Finish-to-finish dependency
A dependency that indicates that a task must not be finished until another task finishes.
Explain the following concept: Lag time
A manually specified time break between predecessor and successor tasks
Explain the following concept: Parent task
A project task with smaller tasks, referred to as child tasks, underneath it. Child tasks break down the work of a parent task into more manageable subsets. Certain fields for child tasks, such as planned end date, roll up and affect the same field in the parent task.
