3
Q
Radial - motor
A
- Tricep brachii and extensor muscles of forearm
4
Q
Ulnar - roots
A
C8-T1
5
Q
Ulnar - sensory
A
- Medial one and a half fingers and associated palm area
6
Q
Ulnar - motor
A
- Two muscles of anterior forearm
- Flexor carpi ulanris
- Medial half of flexor digitorum profundus
- Intrinsic muscles of hand (apart from thenar and 2 lateral lumbricals)
7

A
- Lateral aspect of palm
- Lateral 3 and a half fingers on palmar surface of hand
9
Q
Median - motor
A
- Flexor and pronator muscles in anterior forearm (except flexor carpi ulnaris and part of flexor digitorum profundus)
- Thenar muscles
- Lateral two lumbricals
10
Q
Musculocutaneous nerve - roots
A
C5 - C7
11
Q
Musculocutaneous nerve - sensory
A
- Lateral aspect of forearm
12
Q
Musculocutaneous nerve - motor
A
- Muscles of anterior compartment of arm
13
Q
Axillary nerve - roots
A
C5 and C6
14
Q
Axillary nerve - sensory
A
- Regimental badge area
15
Q
Axillary nerve - motor
A
- Teres minor and deltoid
16
Q
3 trunks of brachial plexus
A
Superior - C5 and C6
Middle - C7
Inferior - C8 and T1
17
Q
Divisions of brachial plexus
A
- Each trunk divides into 2 branches, one moving anteriorly and one posterioly
- So now 3 anterior divisions and 3 posterior divisions
18
Q
Brachial plexus cords
A
- Named relative to position relative to axillary artery
- Lateral - anterior divison of superior trunk and anterior division of middle trunk
- Posterior - posterior division of superior trunk, posterior division of middle trunk and posterior division of inferior trunk
- Medial - anterior division of inferior trunk
19
Q
What is each stage of brachial plexus?
A
Roots > trunks > divisions > cords > branches
