What is a cell?
The basic unit of all living things
What is the cell membrane?
Cell walls. encloses everything into the cell, and provides a protective covering for the cell that allows food and nutrients to stay inside the cell, while keeping toxins and water out.
What is mitosis?
Cell division. The process of cell division resulting the daughter cells being produced identical to the original.
What is anabolism?
Constructive metabolism. Build up of cells, allowing the body to store food, energy, and oxygen to be used for growth and repair.
What is connective tissue?
Supports, binds, and protects all other tissue
What is muscular tissue?
Contracts to produce movement
What do the kidneys do?
excretes urine and waste matter
What do the lungs do?
supplies oxygen to the blood
What does the liver do?
removes waste created by digestion
What does the stomach/intestines do?
digest food
What is the skin?
external protective covering on the outer surface of the body
How many bones are in the body?

What are joints?
connection point between 2 or more bones
What is the insertion point of a muscle?
moveable attachment. ex: mandible
What part of the nervous system is responsible for adrenaline / fight or flight?
