48 hr and temp >39 or if bilateral

A
amoxicllin. give amoxicillin + clavulanate if failed amoxicillin or received amoxicillin in past 30 days

When should you refer to PE tubes?
A
> 3 episodes of AOM in 6 mo or 4 in 12 mo, or kids with recurrent OM and high risk of learning/speech delays (trisomy 21, cleft palate)
