advocay

It relates to the need of systems and societal structures to create a greater equity and better health for all. Nurses endeavour, individually and collectively, to advocate for and work toward eliminating social inequities
advocate
actively support a right and good cause, supporting other in speaking for themselves or speaking on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves
what might nurses be advocating for
issues clients may have, policy change, ethical issues, family conflict, client involvement
Activism
promoting change, an activist is a change agent

why should nurses take action
nurses have high level of credibility with the public. Nurse bring a unique perspective and knowledge to healthy policy issues. nurses are successful advocates. Nurses respond to changing health policies
