Aggression.
Social Learning.
Learning a new behaviour through observing a model and later imitating the said behaviour in the absence of a model.
Aim of the study Aggression by Bandura et el.
The aim of the study was to see whether children exposed to different types of model would imitate them on the basis of various factors..
Hypothesis of the study aggression by Bandura et al.
- Children are more likely to follow same sex models.
- Boys are more likely to imitate aggressive behaviour.
- Children exposed to an aggressive model will be more aggressive than children exposed to other types of models.
- Children exposed to a non-aggressive model will be less aggressive than children exposed to other types of models.
The research method used in the study aggression by Bandura et al.
LABORATORY EXPERIMENT, controlled observation.
The experimental design used in the study aggression by Bandura et al.
Independent measures design.
(Aggression) Different levels of IV:
o Model type. (Aggressive, non-aggressive)
