A
  • reduce clauses that give reasons, when the verb is in simple past/ present perfect/ past perfect
  • simple past -> omit the subordinator (because, since) and the subject, and use the verb+ing (Because he was cautious.. ( being cautious))
  • present perfect/ past perfect-> change have to having ( the ing usually begin the sentence) ( since she has gotten help ( having gotten help))
