PAP 105 workplace harassment.

What is the cities workplace harassment and discrimination policy?

A

1 policy to be posted at all stations, and will form part of the reference manual.
2 annually each department member will read and sign off as having read and understood the policy.
3 any employee experiencing harassment in the workplace shall immediately make a complaint directly to the Fire chief, Deputy chief or the labour relations coordinator in HR.
4 each supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the policy is properly enforced within their jurisdiction and any violation of the policy is immediately reported to the fire chief or deputy chief.

  • all man doors shall be locked at all times except the front door at station#1 which remains unlocked during business hours Monday to Friday.
    – All personnel to enter stations using coded man doors at the rear of all stations.
    – Apparatus doors are to be closed by on duty personnel as soon as possible after override timer for exhaust ventilation has reset.
  • all apparatus doors are to be closed unless the apparatus floor is supervised by on duty personnel.
