  1. Explain action of adaptive equipment
    2. Have patient practice with transmission in park
  2. Instruct patient to mentally think of response according to driving environment
    4. Explain “OFF CONTROL”
  3. Instruct on two most important things to remember
  4. Upon Competency have patient Drive in reduced to level environment
  5. Practice smooth stops and accelerations until mastered
    8. Gradually incorporate right and left turns
  6. Instruct on signal application
  7. Multiple turns with signal application
  8. Progress to light traffic then heavier traffic as appropriate
  9. Reversing or parking maneuvers
