PRISH
pain,redness,immobility,swelling,heat
acute stage of injury
this is the short term response to injury.will last 1-5 days
subacute stage of injury
this is the second stage of injury.it can last 4-5 days or upto 21 days after injury.its also divided up into three parts.early,mild,late
tonic spasm
spasms presenting as a sustained contraction eg.charlie horse
clonic spasm
spasm presenting as an alternating contraction and relaxation eg.hiccups/twitch
intrinsic muscle spasm
muscle spasm occuring in response to local circulatory changes or nutrient deficiency
cramp
symptomatic of nerve irritation by pressure or increased excitability,in a motor neve.
