- too much cholesterol, bile salts, bilirubin
- types : cholesterol, black pigment, brown pigment

how do gallstone cause symptoms of acute cholecystitis?
A
- gallstones get stuck in duct to stomach
- block outflow of bile - gallbladder spasms
- gallbladder hhurst after eating - body secretes more bile after large/high fat meals
- when fats ingested - gallbladded contracts, this combined with blocked ducts causes pressure and pain
