Causes?
A
- Emboli: blood clot, air bubble which moves to vessel and occludes it
- Thrombi: blood clot which forms in situ and blocks blood vessel

Presentation
A
6P’s:
- pain
- pallor
- paraestesia
- perishingly cold
- pulselessness
- paralysis
Compartment syndrome:
- muscle ischaemia, inflammation, oedema, vein obstruction
- tender calf
- rise of kinase creatinine
- potential renal failure

Treatment
A
If limb is salvageable:
- emboli= embolectomy
- thrombosis= thrombolectomy, embolectomy, bypass
