Abundant qi and abundant blood
Important features of the Stomach channel
- Crosses the nose bridge to meet UB 1
- Two branches split off at ST 12 - 1 goes to the Sp/St organs, the other goes to ST 31
- ST 36 goes to the third toe; ST 42 goes to the big toe; the stomach primary channel goes to the second toe
- Yang ming dominates the face
- Stomach belongs to the lower eyelid
Urinary bladder belongs to the upper eyelid

Where does the stomach primary channel begin
On the lateral side of the nose at LI 20
Describe the stomach primary channel
From LI 20 it goes to the medial canthus to join UB 1, descends to ST 1, descends to connect with Du 28 and DU 26, circles around the lips and meets with Ren 24, runs across the cheek to ST 5-7, meets GB 3, ascends to ST 8, crossing GB 4-6. Finally, it follows the hairline to meet DU 24
Where does the first branch of the stomach primary channel separate from
ST 5
Where does the first branch of the stomach primary channel go
From ST 5 it descends the SCM to ST 12, travels posteriorly to DU 14, descends through the diaphragm and links with Ren 13 and Ren 12 jbefore entering the Stomach and spleen organs
Where does the second branch of the stomach primary channel separate from
St 12
Where does the second branch of the stomach primary channel go
From ST 12, it descends along the mamilary line to connect with all the points until ST 30
Where does the third branch of the stomach primary channel come from
it originates in the pyloric orifice of the stomach
Where does the third branch of the stomach primary channel go
From the stomach it meets ST 30, travels down the leg to ST 45 at the tip of the second toe
Where does the fourth branch separate from
ST 36
Where does the fourth branch of the stomach primary channel go
from ST 36 it goes to the lateral aspect of the third toe
Where does the fifth branch of the stomach primary channel separate from
the dorsum of the foot at ST 42
Where does the fifth branch of the stomach primary channel go
From ST 42 it goes to the medial side of the tip of the big toe to meet with the spleen channel
Where does the Stomach channel meet with the Spleen channel
At ST 42
What two points constitute the upper and lower borders of the zygomatic arch
GB 3 = upper
ST 7 = lower
What organs does the stomach primary channel connect with
Stomach and Spleen
What points does the Stomach primary channel connect with
LI 20, UB 1, GB 3, GB 4, GB 5, GB 6, Du 14, Du 24, DU 26, DU 28, Ren 12, 13, 24
Where does the stomach luo channel begin
ST 40
Describe the stomach luo channel
From ST 40 it travels to the medial aspect of the lower leg to join with the spleen channel, ascends the leg and trunk to the nape of the neck and head where it converges with the qi of the other yang channels, then it travels to the throat
Where does the Stomach divergent channel separate
in the middle of the thigh
Where does the stomach divergent channel travel to
from the thigh it ascends to the abdomen to connect with the *Stomach, *Spleen, and *Heart organs. Then it ascends the esophagus
Where does the stomach divergent channel emerge
at the mouth, then continues along the nose and the *eye
Where and with what does the stomach divergent channel unite
With the *stomach primary channel at the face
Where does the stomach sinew channel begin
on the middle *three toes
Where does the stomach sinew channel go
ascends the leg and binds with the *gall bladder sinew channel at the knee, binds in the *pelvic region, binds to ST 12, joins the bladder sinew channel at the face to form a muscular net around the *eye, connects with the jaw and ear
What stomach channels enter the spleen organ
primary and divergent
What is the stomach channel’s relationship to the gums
the primary channel enters the upper gum, joins the Du channel at Du 26, circles the lips and joins with the Ren at Ren 24
What is the stomach’s relationship with the throat
the stomach luo channel terminates at the throat while the stomach primary channel descends through the throat region
What is the stomach’s relationship with the breast/nipple
the stomach primary channel descends through the breast and nipple
What are the primary actions of the stomach channel
treats the five sense organs, face and cheeks, ear, throat, intestines, Lung, Heart, chest, epigastrium, stomach, spleen, bladder, disturbance of the spirit
