What does the “Flourish” trait mean?
Only one action with the Flourish trait can be used per turn.
What does the “Incapacitation” trait mean on an action other than a spell?
If it is used against a creature of higher level, their saving throw result is considered one step better, and/or your attack roll’s result is considered one step worse.
What does the “Stance” trait mean?
The stance is ongoing until it ends. Only one Stance action can be taken per round and Stances cannot be used outside of encounter mode.
What does the “incapaciation” trait mean on a spell?
If it is used against a creature of more than twice the spell’s level, their saving throw result is considered one step better, and/or your attack roll’s result is considered one step worse.
What does the “auditory” trait mean?
The effect affects only creatures that can hear it, and Deafened creatures must make a flat check or lose the action.
What is the difference between the “auditory” and “sonic” traits?
Auditory effects affect only creatures that can hear them, Sonic effects affect everyone provided a sound can be produced.
What is the effect of the “concentrate” trait?
Per rules as written, the concentrate trait has no effect other than triggering some special action conditions, such as that the effect cannot be used while Fascinated. It does not mean that the action provokes standard Attacks of Opportunity.
What is the effect of the “manipulate” trait?
There are no universal properties of this trait other than that it can trigger certain effects, but probably the most important is that Manipulate actions can be disrupted by Attacks of Opportunity.
What is the effect of the Move trait?
The action is affected by those conditions that relate to movement and also provokes Attacks of Opportunity.
Which of the standard actions have the Move trait?
Crawl, Drop Prone, Leap, Stand, Step, Stride, Burrow, Fly and Mount. Note that Step does still have the Move trait even though it has specific text stating it does not provoke reactions triggered by Move actions.
Which of the standard actions have the Manipulate trait?
Interact, Release, Grab an Edge, and Point Out. Note that Release does still have the Manipulate trait even though it has text saying it does not trigger reactions based on the Manipulate trait.
