What happens
Lucio asks isabella to go plea claudio’s case to angelo, beforehand at the convent of St Clare a nunn is explianing the strict rules to her, not being able to speak to a man unless the prioress is there and if they are speaking must not show their face.

It allows for a more authentic set design of a nunnery helps set the tone, in comparison the John Dove Globe production is much more amusing as they deliver the lines (lucio tells isabella about claudio in an abrupt inapropriate way).

“ you do blasphemy the good, in mocking me” after continuing on she asks why Claudio & Juliet cannot marry to find out the duke has been replaced by the cold cerebral Angelo.

“one who never feels the wanton stings and motions of the sense” showing Angelo’s supression of instincts reflects on the balance between self-controll and self-indulgence
