Increase in HCO3 = 1* change in PaCO2 / 10
Compensation for chronic respiratory acidosis?
Increase in HCO3 = 4* (change in PaCO2 / 10)
Compensation for metabolic alkalosis?
Increase in PaCO2 = 0.6 * HCO3
