Anestrus: period of inactivity, no hormones in body
Proestrus/Estrus/Interestrus/Diestrus
Cats
Proestrus: don’t see physical signs, 1-2 days
Estrus: mating will occur, lasts 3-14 days, gestation 53-64 days
Interestrus: period between estrus cycles, if not bred will go back into estrus, lasts 2-10 days
Diestrus: period of inactivity (winter)
