It means to bring an end to or infer, a conclusion is supposed to perform one of these main functions. Students believe that a conclusion literally and metaphorically ends an essay. But it is easier said than done.
CONCLUSIONS SHOULD DO MORE THAN END AN ESSAY (ARGUMENT) AND DO LESS THAN SUMMARIZE EVERY SINGLE POINT. It must make a lasting and strong impression.
What is the purpose of a conclusion?
Conclusions are used in almost every sort of writing across disciplines, so it behooves the writer to identify the overall context and the genre of the paper as well as its audience of the specific paper to make a úrgeme the for what the appropriate ending would be. Some genres and contexts call for specific types of conclusions while others allow more writer discretion.

In argument papers, not all conclusions will engage in all aspects of escaping, connecting, alluding, refraining, looking, problematic in, finalizing, and making, but many will utilize many aspects.
What are things Conclusions DONT Do?
Repeat or summarize all the points of the paper- Bring up minor points from the paper-Focus on only one point from the paper-Sell short the ideas or positions with statements like: I may be wrong about this, but…- Apologize for a lack of credibility, data, or research-Add new information that was not covered in the paper-Use the phrase “in conclusion”
