A 3.0-Argument Essay Overview Flashcards
What is the 5 Paragraph Basic Model consisted of?
Introduction-Body 1-Body 2-Body 3-Conclusion
What is the problem with the 5 paragraph writing method?
When any format is taken too far, it becomes fossilized creating the notion or the expectation that most texts be in that format. One main consequence of this fossilization is that this format limits the formation and expression of thought in the writing process and it limits the ability to critically assess texts that do not come in that format.
What is an important thing to note regarding fossilization of the 5 paragraph rule?
While you (the reader) do not necessarily need to ignore the 5 paragraph model, you should definitely not over rely on it or expect to see it when reading texts.
