75 Flashcards
what are the motor nerves of the skull
III n. oculomotoricus
IV n. trochlearis
VI n. abducens
XII n. hypoglossus
TAHO
only motor fibers which supply the muscles of the head
III - oculomotorius origin
superficial origin medially on midbrain - ventrally
- nucl. motorius n. oculomotrii -> somato-motor
- nucl. accessorius -> viscero-motor(PS)
leave the skull at fissura orbitalis, and then divide into dorsal and ventral ramus
r. dorsalis III
motor -> m. rectus dorsalis, m. levator palpebra superior
r. ventralis III
motor and PS
- motor: r. rectus ,edialis, m. rectus ventralis, m. obliqus ventrale
PS: ggl. cilare, m. ciliaris and m. sphincter pupilla
origin of IV
n. trochlearis - velum medullare rostrale -> tentorium cerebelli to floor of cranial cavity
nucl. n. trochlearis -> somato-motor (tegmentrum mesencephali)
sulcus n. opthalmicus -> fissura orbitalis
motor to m. obliqus dorsalis, only motor nerve to emerge friom dorsal aspect of brain!
VI n. abducens origin, nuclei, exit, target
o: fibers from MO close to midline
Nucl: nucl. n. abducens -> somato-motor(tegmentum mesencaphalis)
exit: sulcus n. optjhalmici: fissura orbitalis
motor nerve: m. rectus lat and m. retractor bulbi
XII - n. hypoglossus origin, nuclei, exit, target
O: ventral on MO (sulcus n. hypoglossi)
Nucl: nucl. n. hypoglossi -> somatomotor
skull: canalis n. hypoglossi crosses vagu group and then go towards tongue
motor: r. lingualis: to intrinsic and extrinsic mm of the tongue
