A

close to IX, run with common meningeal investment to meatus acusticus internus; both O ventrolateral medulla oblongata

  1. Nucl. motoricus n. facialis -> somato-motor
  2. Nucl salivarius rostralis -> somato-motor
  3. Nucl. tractus spinalis n. trigemini -> somato-snesory
  4. Nucl. tractus solitaii -> special sensory

Q

n. petrosus major

A

n, tympanicus

  • n. petrosus minor

  • -> r. sinus caroticus(terminate in baro and chemoreceptors in glomus caroticus)

parallell to stylohyoid it divides into

  • r. pharyngeus - mostly sensory
