what are 3 arenas in which health policy acts?
function in public health, structural interventions, financing, reimbursement, licensure, accreditation of health care provider and educational institutions
examples of policy in each arena
Public Health: food water and air quality. Laws governing risk behaviors (drugs, alcohol, or tobacco), vaccinations
Reimbursement: Medicare and Medicaid, ACA
Licensure: licensing of health professionals (Kansas Board of Healing Arts),
Accreditation: of hospitals (TJC), of medical schools (LCME), and others
