- Epizootic haemorrhagic disease virus (EHDV), at least 7 serotypes
- Vectored by mosquitoes and midges
- Endothel damage, similar to bluetongue
- Notifiable disease

Ibraki disease?

Ibraki disease
- First description in cattle in Japan
- Present in South-East Asia and in the USA
- The virus is one of the EHDV serotypes
- Clinical signs similar to bluetongue (fever, oedema, erosions)
- In endemic areas live, attenuated vaccine available for control
• Differential diagnosis in laboratory:
- bluetongue,
- Acabane disease,
- ephemeral fever
