Σιμμία τε καὶ Κέβης, ἐγὼ πειράσομαι φράσαι.

“Let him be,” said Socrates. “But I wish now to render to you indeed, the judges,
the reason how reasonably the man seems to me who has in reality
spent his life in philosophy should be emboldened [64a] when he is about to die, and be of good hope that when he is dead he will win the greatest blessings there. How then indeed this might be the case, both Simmias and Cebes, I shall try to tell you.
