  1. 100 / Year in Grampian (Uncommon)

2. More common in Middle Aged Women that some other STI’s

  1. PCR on a Vaginal Swab
  2. Point of Care - Microscopy of Wet Preparation of Vaginal Discharge
    Note - There is no Test for Men

What is the Treatment of Trichomoniasis?

A

Metronidazole (400mg) Per Oral, Bi-Daily for 5 Days

Note - Can be given as a 2g Single Dose
