ISO is more action oriented towards a specific emergency scene

Determine the possibility harm or loss and to what extent
What is a RBA?
Risk benefit analysis
Decision making process that weighs the hazards encountered by rescuers vs the benefit
What is risk management?
Process of identifying, assessing, and communicating risk, and accepting, avoiding, or controlling it to an acceptable level at a reasonable cost
ISOs tasks at a structure fire?
Assess structural integrity
Address scene safety
Ensure adequate points of egress
Establish collapse zones, rehab, personnel rotation
Ensure adequate lighting on scene when needed
