What is the diagnostic treatment for intusussception
Air enema (also may be theraputic)

What do we test?
Small precise movements. Do one at a time
Palmar grasp- 5 months
Pincer grasp- 10 months
What is speech testing?
What do we test?
Looking at speech. May be shy, try engage with child
Turns head to side- 6 months
Responds to name- 9 months
Knows nouns- 12 months
Uses two words coherently- 2 months
What are social skills?
What do we test?
Social smile- 6 weeks
Reaches for bottle- 6 months
Holds and bites food- 9 months
Waves bye bye- 12 months
What mouth symptoms does IBD present with
How does UC spread?
Only in Crohn’s- angular stomatitis, mouth ulcer’s
UC only spreads distal to proximal
How do crohn’s and UC present on colonoscopy?
Crohn’s- proctitis, varying colon inflammation, skip lesions, crypt abscess’
UC- distal to proximal lesions
What is the treatment for IBD?
Anti-inflmattory measures (steroids)
Monoclonal antibodies (Infliximab)
immunosuppression (methotrexate, thiopurines)
What condition is UC associated with?
Reactive arthritis
What is writer’s syndrome?
Caused by chlamydia
Can’t pee (cystitis)
Can’t see (uveitis)
Can’t climb a tree (arthritis)
What rash is associated with many GI causes in children (Celiac’s, IBD)
Dermatitis herpaticams
What are the differentials for abdo pain in someone with sickle cell disease
Sequestered liver and spleen (stripping of sickle cells)
Gall stones (increased heamolysis)
Appendicitis
Mesenteric ischemia
