Why are cells organized into tissues, organs, and systems?
A
Perform functions that cannot be carried out by single cells

What does muscle tissue do?
A
Tissue that contracts (skeletal, smooth, cardiac)

What does connective tissue do?
A
Connects and holds together other tissues (blood, fat, bone, cartilage, ligament)

What does epithelial tissue do?
A
Made up of cells that form surfaces over other organs (epidermis, lining of intestine)

What does nervous tissue do?
A
Consists of neurons, and sends electrical signals around the body (spinal cord, CNS and PNS)
