What is the definition of a lymph node?
An aggregate of lymph nodules AKA lymphoid follicles
Describe the direction of flow through a lymph node
Lymph fluid enters the node through the capsule—>goes over the follicles(nodules)—->and into the medulla before exiting the node
Where are the nodules/follicles located in the lymph node?
The cortex
What is the center of a follicle/nodule?
Germinal center
If lymph nodes are capsulated, what is different about a tonsil?
Tonsils are UNencapsulated lymphatic tissue
