5.1 - Describe a situation where you had to work closely with a team. How did you contribute?
A
I have worked closely as part of a team for the entirety of my career. Through main component exchanges and various other campaigns with Vestas. This has involved working alonside other Vestas employees, contractors and supervisor/managers. sometimes as a team member sometimes as a team leader. Over these years I have contributed in a number of ways, with a friendly and professional demeanor, focusing on…
- Actively listening to others, expressing interest and communitacting clearly and concisely while respecting and supporting other opinions, even if they differ from my own perspective.
- Being a reliable team member, fulfilling my responsibilities in a timely fashion and flexible in my role to adapt to changing scenarios.
- Being a positive presence, especially during challenges, providing encouragement and support to boost team morale.
- Conflict resolution; addressing disagreements constructively, focusing on solutions rather than assigning blame. Well function team, voice of reason.
- Giving constructive feedback, knowledge sharing and accepting feedback to promote team growth and improvement.
- Dynamically risk assessing tasks and procedures, with the biggest priority being keeping myself and others safe.

5.2 - How do you handle conflicts within a team?
A
- Approach the situation with a calm attitude.
- Actively listen to the people, understand the perspective of the people involved.
- Try to identify the root cause of the conflict i.e. miscommunication, difference in priorities?
- Encourage open dialogue and a space where team members can talk through the issues respectfully. This can help identify areas of common ground and areas of agreement, uniting the team.
- Once a solution has been found, clarify roles and expectations and follow up with members of the team to ensure everyone is happy with the outcome of the discussion.
- Ultimately, promote a positive team culture, encouraging open communication and collaboration to prevent conflicts escalating in future.
