• Equipment should regularly be calibrated based on manufacturer or industry standards.
• The calibration of the equipment should be documented for traceability and to determine upcoming calibration dates.
• Visual inspections should be carried out and verification of correct settings for the required task.
• Carry out function tests to ensure the equipment operates within the specified parameters.

How do you ensure that equipment is functioning safely during the commissioning process?

Safety is my top priority. I will follow a strict set of procedures to ensure that myself and my team are safe at all times. This includes… - Ensuring that tools and equipment are calibrated, rated and visually inspected before being used.
- Ensuring the correct PPE is worn for the task and rated for LV and HV work (cal/cm2).
- Ensuring all documentation is present, including AWP, RAMS, Task Briefs, Work Permits.
- Following isolation procedures.
- General safety.
